Wing is an app for parents that allows them to check on their children's online presence, while maintaining the privacy of the their child. Wing uses psychology and machine learning to keep your child safe online. Wing checks in on how they’re feeling and gives you the resources to guide them through difficult situations.
I was asked by Wing to show how this is done in an explainer video. The video had to convey the broad message while maintaining the aesthetic style that they had developed. I had the pleasure of collaborating with the incredible illustrator Sean McLeod for this project, who created some amazing visuals. We first had to create the narrative of the film, coming up with sketches and scamps of what each scene could show. Working with client we created a story that showed off the use case for Wing, as well as an emotional message that people could relate to. Then, using After effects to create the animation, I worked on ensuring the pace of the edit and the tone of the film remained poignant and on brand. The result was a very happy client with a moving explainer video they could use to tell customers more about their product.
